Well Child Visits

Regular well child visits are an important part in maintaining your child's health.  Bainbridge Pediatrics follows the well child guidelines promoted by American Academy of Pediatrics.

Recommended ages of Preventative Health Examinations:
  • 1 to 2 days after discharge from hospital
  • 2 weeks
  • 1 month
  • 2 months
  • 4 months
  • 6 months
  • 9 months
  • 12 months
  • 15 months
  • 18 months
  • 24 months
  • 30 months
  • 3 years and older, annually (until 21st birthday)

At a well child visit, you can expect:
Evaluation of growth and development
Discussion of safety, nutrition, fitness, behavior, school, etc.
A chance to ask questions
A physical examination
Developmental screenings/surveys including Ages and Stages Questionaires or the MCHAT
Age-appropriate medical screening tests (including hearing, vision, hemoglobin, etc.)
Age-appropriate immunizations.


Note: Additional Concerns During Well Visit Effective October 1, 2015: Changes in legislation require that any care provided outside of a standard well check up will need to be documented and billed separately and will involve a copayment and or deductible payment. 

We utilize CHADIS  for our patient surveys, so please make sure you complete your child’s SURVEY thru patient portal before arriving at your appointment.
